I know that Andy Warhol was an artist who worked in mediums that were different from any typical medium.

I really didn't want to go to the Andy Warhol exhibit in the first place , but i went with an open mind ! I wouldn't say I hated it, but it's was REALLY different.

Oh, what i know about Andy Warhol is he was just like the rest of us, trying to find what purpose we have in the world, what role we play. Really, Warhol was just like the rest of the millions of people in America struggling with self-identity

Andy Warhol used techniques that was new at the time, like video, tape recording, and Polaroid pictures. He was brave and tried something new, and he succeeded! He also did a good job of putting himself in his work.

I learned that he was one of the first artists to push the envelope, that he was homosexual, and that he had been shot by someone who was hanging around his studio.

I found it to be too video oriented and thus that it was lacking in showing us the artist and too extreme in showing us the freak within.

I know that Andy Warhol was inspired by the essence of people around him. I know that he saw art in the everyday person.

I thing I learned about Andy Warhol and admire about him would be that he didn't let his "critics" limit his imagination or his artwork.

Andy Warhol was very influenced by pop culture, but he started out as a commercial artist.

I know that Andy Warhol changed the way people thought about art. He pushed the limits in what was considered art and what wasn't. The exhibit was different, but was still well set up.

I know that Andy Warhol created 40 cable TV Channels and that many famous people stopped at his studio and contribute to his work, like OJ Simpson, Muhammed Ali and others.

he coined the phrase "15 minutes of fame" which is used very widely. i even heard it used on a television show last week.

Warhol was able to be himself, and form his individual approach to his life in his art.

Andy Warhol was just like every other American trying to find this place in this world. And in his case, he felt that his purpose was to create this form, his OWN form, of art to the enjoyment of his audience that really contained many themes of 'self-identity' and 'finding your place in this world or society.'

Andy Warhol liked soup like normal people. He also signed the Velvet Underground and cross dressed. He's a pretty cool dude.

One thing I know about Andy Warhol is he is obsessed with celebrities and thus did a lot of pop-art about them.

I learned a lot at the Wexner center. one of the more interesting things that I learned is that Andy Warhol had many cable television shows. I also enjoyed the part of the exhibit with the helium balloons.

I know that Andy Warhol also did videos, other than paintings. Also that he drew soup cans, and silk screened.

Warhol was fascinated by camouflage. He created numerous silkscreens and paintings of camouflaged character. My favorite is the Statue of Liberty, which is camouflaged in red, white, and blue (the national colors of France and the U.S. France gave us the State of Liberty as a gift).
I think it's interesting that Warhol once said that there is no hidden meaning behind his work. Whatever you interpret on the surface is what you get. It's interesting that although Warhol is fascinated by camouflage and being hidden, he tells his audience that he's not trying to be hidden in his art's message.

I had a nice time and the art was cool but then weird in other aspects it really captures Warhols attitude

How did Andy Warhol get so popular? I love his work but how did people suddenly decide to unanimously like it considering the time he did his work in was experiencing a battleground for culture and a conservative pushback was on the rise when he released most of his work that would have been offensive to those types of people. He had to have had some strategy.

After seeing the exhibit, I realized Warhol was a very simple artist, but had very complicated thoughts. He thought so big as to what his paintings would be. They look incredibly simple, but you could sit and think about what they might be about for a very long period of time. I learned a lot about him at the exhibit, and learned to appreciate his work a little more. At first I didn't really think that he was that great considering everything was so simple, but then later concluded that he was a very complex person and started a whole new art category.

I was a little suprised about how much I actualy enjoyed going to the exhibit. After going to see his work and studying him I think that the idea's and concept's of Warhol's art was way more important then the actual art. For example no one thinks hes a genius because he was able to film the Empire State building for 8 hours rather they were intersted because no one had ever had the idea to do such a thing. The ideas behind his pieces are so odd that they intrigued people and made them want to see more. Andy opened the door for new forms and methods of art for years to come.

After the field trip to the Wexner Center for the Art and visited Andy Warhol show, I had a better understanding of the post-modernism art. Andy's artwoks are very unique. His mass-producing of artwork and strange ideas left me the most unforgettable memories about this show. He had such a weird but interesting personal life. And his philosophy is so different from the other artists. Although many people criticized him, I feel he's still one the greatest artists I've seen. Especially his work of the Empire Building and the suicide guy. This show really appeals to me a lot.

Andy Warhol, is he a important Artist? Yes, Andy Warhol was a significant artist to the post-modernism period. His ways of thought were new, and his ideas were simplex. Many people did not consider everyday objects as art, that is why Warhol saw things differently. Andy Warhol believed in one thing, art should be effortless. To me, I think this is the biggest thing that influenced his form of art. If you look at some of Warhol's art, like the soup can, its very common object. That is why he believed in commonism. The art of taking something not spectacular and making it widely popular.Andy Warhol opened a new chapter in the book of art.

At the Wexner Center I learned that Andy Warhol worked in a variety of different mediums. He painted, silkscreened, photographed, and filmed. It was amazing that one artist could be so versatile. Not only was her versatile, he was extremely creative. No one had ever done the things he did. Andy Warhol broke the old rules and helped to open a whole new era, the postmodern era, of art.

Because of Warhol's unhappiness with his own face, he painted self portriats where his face was hidden, disfigured, and multicolored to show that distaste he had with his phyical appearance. As seen in Self Portrait No.9 1986

I enjoyed the Andy Warhol exhibit alot. It was very interesting and fun to see many of his master pieces. Andy Warhol was an extremely diverse artist and had many abilities to accomplish many different styles of artwork. He used very literal pieces and not literal. He could make art by filming something that you might not know what it was and then put a title on it that gave it its subject. An example is his film Blowjob. You only see a face and its facial expressions and without the title Blowjob you would not know what to think. Andy warhol was very creative and opened the doorway for many artists to create art with everyday objects.

I learned that Andy was very shy as a kid, also that he ate alot of soup. Although I didn't like any of his movies, I did however like that he changed the face of art.

What I learned about Andy Warhol was how he went against what art was suppose to be. He showed new ideas of what art is. By looking at most of this work, a person would have to look at the depth what is meant.

Looking at Andy Warhol's art, I know that he was a very unique and creative artist. I also saw that he was fascinated by famous celeberties such as Marylin Monroe and the media. He was extremely significant because of the way he altered the meaning of art.

After visiting the Andy Warhol exhibit I am surprised to say that I actually found it to be quite interesting. He was very simplistic, and challenged the status quo of his time. He believed that anything really could be art, and that is what's so neat about him. He was so creative and always thought outside the box.

Through my visit to the Wexner Center's Andy Warhol Exhibit I learned just how important Andy Warhol was. He created art that infused the question of what art is into them. He did so by creating pieces that were mass produced and often times the same thing as a consumer product. By doing so he was able to make substantial art at the same time he was in a way making a mockery of what art had been known as.

The one thing I know about Andy, which is different from all other artists, is that Andy's art is abot the what the observer thinks. His art doesn't flat out tell you something, it's more about how you define what his art is conveying.

i know andy was the one who said you can become famous in the 15minutes.he also dedicated his self in his art work.andy was also a homosexual.

My Andy Warhol experience was the mind of a man who wanted to be different in his own kind of way. The way he sees art is like how a deaf person uses their ears to listen through motion that is AWESOME! he is a true master at his own world of art like Bruce Lee. I hope to use art in a certain way because his pictures speak thousands words of lessons, and adventures in life to be optimistic instead of pessimistic and enjoy good times in life loosen up and just have a good time. How being yourself and unique is your padge of honor, courage, and confidence. Follow your heart, dreams, and who you are teaching your own art,and life lessons is what makes you a better and stronger person in your lifetime to me that's his lessons and words he speaks just being Andy Warhol the artist at being himself, proud, and unique. To me that's the badge of honor being different and proud of being yourself.
